Proposal Comparison
Puts the carrier proposals that came back from marketing on one comparable basis and shows which offer is actually the best deal: every quote normalized to the same enrollment and policy period, premium separated from fees, total annual cost computed for employer and employees, and one option recommended with the reasoning shown.
What goes in
Carrier proposals or quotes for two or more options, current program summary with rates, enrollment or census snapshot with an as-of date, employer contribution policy. Optional: marketing specifications, carrier correspondence, claims experience, client priorities and constraints.
What you get
A Proposal Comparison Report as a Word document: the options compared with each carrier response classified, the comparability verdict and enrollment basis behind the comparison, an annual cost comparison normalized to one basis, coverage and plan design differences, contract and service terms, the employee payroll-deduction and out-of-pocket impact by coverage tier, open items and subjectivities, data gaps and requests, and a source register — closed by a ranked recommendation stating the rule applied and the disqualifying facts for the options not recommended. Where the responses cannot be compared on cost, it degrades to a qualitative proposal review with no cost table.
How it works
- 1Set the scope: confirm the client, effective date, and plans in scope, then upload the proposals with the current program summary, enrollment snapshot, and contribution policy.
- 2Classify the responses: each carrier response is sorted — firm quote, revised, indication, declination, or incomplete — so only current, bindable options are ranked.
- 3Normalize: rates, plan designs, networks, and fees are taken from each proposal as printed and put on one enrollment basis and one policy period.
- 4Compare: total annual cost, the employer and employee split, the change against the current program, and coverage and network differences are laid out side by side.
- 5Deliver: a Proposal Comparison Report as a Word/PDF document — side-by-side cost table, coverage differences, open subjectivities, and a recommendation with the reasoning shown.
