Turn a facility walk into one audit report, not a week of write-up
Soter's Site Audit workflow takes the photos and video you capture on a facility walk and aggregates them into a single comprehensive report. It scans each frame, detects hazards, matches findings to the regulations that apply, classifies severity, and drafts corrective actions you can assign and track to closure.
What the Site Audit workflow does
A facility audit is usually two jobs stitched together: the walk, which is fast, and the write-up, which is slow. You return from the floor with dozens of photos and a few video clips, then spend the rest of the day pairing each one with a regulation, deciding how serious it is, and typing it into a report. The Site Audit workflow collapses that second job.
Upload the media from the walk, up to 50 images or about six minutes of video, and Soter scans each frame, detects hazards, and matches them to the applicable regulations. The Safety Professional stays in control: Soter drafts the findings and severity, and the assessor confirms, edits, and signs off. The output is one Site Audit Report with corrective actions ready to assign.
Where site audits stall at scale
Three bottlenecks surface again and again across multi-site programs.
- The write-up backlog. The walk takes an hour, the report takes the rest of the day, so audits pile up unfinished and findings go stale before anyone acts on them.
- Inconsistent severity. Two auditors rate the same condition differently, so the report cannot be compared across sites and the riskiest findings do not always rise to the top.
- Lost regulatory thread. Pairing each finding with the right regulation by hand is slow and error-prone, so citations get dropped and the report is harder to defend in a real audit.
How the workflow runs
- Capture and upload the media. Walk the facility and add the photos or video from the walk, up to 50 images or about six minutes of footage.
- Scan each frame. Soter scans every image and video frame so nothing in the captured media is skipped.
- Detect hazards. Hazards and non-compliant conditions are detected across the footage and listed for review.
- Match findings to regulations. Each finding is matched to the regulations that apply to the site, with the citation shown alongside it.
- Classify severity. Findings are classified by severity so the most serious conditions are clear at a glance.
- Generate the report. Soter generates one detailed Site Audit Report with corrective actions for the assessor to confirm and assign.
